AB Closes Out 2017 Season at East Super Regional

ERIE, Pa. -- Cody Spinks and Keith Stednitz closed out the 2017 season on day two of the NCAA East Super Regional held at Mercyhurst University on Saturday.

Spinks and Stednitz were two of the nine AB wrestlers to advance to Saturday's action after finishing 1-1 on Friday.

Stednitz won his opening match on Saturday with a second-round pin before falling to Troy Warner of Kutztown in the next match of the consolation bracket. In his final match, Stednitz fell to Garrett Smith from Gannon, who was ranked No.5, 6-0 to end his season.

On Saturday, Spinks went up against the eighth-seeded Nathan Bowlen of Seton Hill and dropped a tight 5-4 match to close out his strong-career for the AB wrestling team.
