Point Pleasant Replaces Oak Glen as the Team that Really Irritates A Lot Of People in West Virginia

HUNTINGTON -- It's official - Point Pleasant has become the most irritating wrestling team in West Virginia.

That was the verdict of several fans in attendance at the West Virginia State High School wrestling tournament held recently in the river city.

"It's just not fair. They moved from AAA to AA/A nine years ago. Of course they are going to beat everybody. They should go back to AAA where they belong," noted one fan foaming at the mouth.

Another fan pointed to Point Pleasant's schedule. "Have you ever noticed that they wrestle just about all their matches against other AA/A West Virginia teams? It's like, hey, they think that they have to go around beating the snot out of every West Virginia team just for the fun of it. If they think they are so good, then they should wrestle in Ohio or Pennsylvania during the season."

Other fans took offense at Point's habit of often shaking hands with the opposing coach at the end of each match. "It's not enough that they win the match - then they have to go shake hands with the opposing coach. Probably trying to distract him or something. Why don't they just go sit with their team when the match is over like they're supposed to. Are they trying to rub it in or something?"

As a result of this distinction, Point Pleasant will be required to wear powder blue singlets during the 2011-12 season.
