Notes from Coach Doyle

July 20, 2015
We hope that you are enjoying your summer and finding some time to relax. Things on campus are better than ever. The summer has brought another highly successful 2nd annual Cardinal Culture Technique Camp. The team is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to take our program to another level.

As we approach our third season as a Division II program, there is more excitement and anticipation than ever before. Coming off of a year where Dustin Warner became our first All-American, Brad Kakos became our first Academic All-American and Nolan Whitely/Preston Bowshier became our first National Qualifiers, the expectations have gone up. Another very strong recruiting class joins the already solid group of young men within our program and it is sure to be a very fun year ahead.

We have been invited to join 15 of the best programs in the country at the prestigious NWCA National Duals. This is a fantastic accomplishment for our guys entering just our third season. Perennial power and 2014 National Champion, Notre Dame College will come to town for a dual in early February. The schedule continues to evolve as our program does!

The wrestling room continues to progress into one of the best in the country with new flooring, windows, blinds and equipment. We will post pictures once all renovations are complete!

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing everyone packing the McDonough Center this winter!
