Notes from Coach Doyle
Sean Doyle, Head Coach, Wheeling Jesuit University

December 2, 2015

It's been quite the past few weeks for the program and as our guys prepare for finals week, we couldn't be more excited heading into the second semester. With the signing of one of the nation's best wrestlers in 3 time Ohio State Champion Tyler Warner, our program took another huge step toward our ultimate goal of becoming a national championship contender. The early recruiting class included a total of 5 outstanding young men and wrestlers that will help take us to another level. Logan Adkins, Greg Brusco, Dakotah Goff, Brandon Tenney and Tyler Warner have all signed letters of intent to join the Cardinal Culture in 2016. For full press release, check out THIS LINK.

This Sunday at 1pm, the team will open up our home dual season against Ohio Valley University. There will be a pre-match lunch/social, that you are all invited to attend. The festivities will start at noon in the McDonough Center Hall of Fame Room. It is a great way for our friends and families to meet and greet and allow some of our newer faces to meet the old.

All proceeds for the event will be donated to the Hope for Hines Foundation. Hines Rotriga is a young boy (4 years old) from the Wheeling area that was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. He has been battling it to the fullest, showing strength that most can't comprehend. His family is placed under great demands of travel to and from NYC in order to get the necessary treatment along with a number of other expenses. We hope to have a wonderful event that can raise money to donate to the family. Please help join the cause for Hines!

Thank you to everyone for helping us continue to build the family at Wheeling Jesuit Wrestling. It is a full team effort that includes all of our families and friends and we are greatly appreciative that we have the best! Have a great week ahead.
