George Goes 1-2 at Nationals

March 10, 2018

Cedar Rapids IA – Dalton George's (Williamstown, WV) stay at the nationals was not as long as last year. The redshirt-junior was not able to advance to the second day as he was only able to win one of his three matches on Friday.

In the first round he lost a 10-3 decision to Brandon Supernaw of Western State. Dalton was able to come back as he pinned his opponent Chase Boyd from Tiffin 1:47 into the match.

George then advanced to the second round of the consolation round. George would lose a tough bought 9-7 to Kolton Eischens from St. Cloud St.

George finishes a shortened season on the mat 15-6 record. The redshirt junior is already the most decorated wrestler in OVU history with two trips to nationals a regional title to his name and All-American status from last year's national championship top six finish.
