I'm not sure being in the most competitive weight class should necessarily mean someone is the MOW in the tournament. Id rather wait until all the matches are wrestled and see where it all stands.

Its not that common for there to be two wrestlers who are clearly head and shoulders above everyone else in a weight class and those two wrestlers end up in the same side of the bracket. It may happen at times. But, not too often. In those rare times, if a wrestler gets 3rd instead of 2nd...so what....

I like the pill over some 'select' committee who would be limited to what they have seen, heard, or know and would come with their own biases. Its not always as simple as Wrestler A beat Wrestler B. It can become very complex by the end of the season. Id rather stick with the unbiased pill.

I see no reason to not have one class. Then award 3 team champions based on which AAA, AA and A team scored the most team points. Going to three classes would seem silly to me given how few wrestlers we have in the state.
