Since these rankings are prior to this weekend, under what criteria is Morris of South at 215 listed in the State rankings? Obviously this will be a moot point, as he is about to climb the ladder significantly after this weekend. But just curious.

Auditing Bear Tracks? No problem.

First, lets take all of this back to what it would be in preseason:

1. Brothers. Returning three time state champion
2. Kehler. Returning one time state champion
3. Allen. Returning 4th place winner.
4. Mullins. Returning 5th place winner with a QOP of 23.
5. Morris. Returning 5th place winner with a QOP of 12.
6. Truman. Returning Q2. He made it to the blood round.

Now here is the order listed in Edition 4 above and the reasoning:

1. Kehler. Kehler defeated Brothers.
2. Brothers.
3. Allen. Allen has defeated Truman.
4. Truman. Truman has defeated Mullins.
5. Mullins.
6. Morris.

Morris was late to 215 action and Mullins started out higher due to the higher QOP. After the Winner's Choice and upon preliminary review, Morris will move to number 3 in edition 5. We probably have a RCF with Allen, Mullins and Truman. I will sort it out.

Kehler, Brothers and Morris should hit each other in the OVAC. Then, all of these guys minus Brothers will see each other at the WSAZ. Then, all of them except for Truman and Mullins should see each other at the WV State Duals.

Morris is the only one that will not face any of the other five in his region.

What is Morris the returning 5th place winner of?
Also, I thought you were only ranking in the preseason those who actually placed in the last state tournament. And then only moving people into the state ranking as they defeated ranked wrestlers.

Morris was 5th in the state. I have been posting and communicating all of this since October. We are now halfway through the season. Please advise where you think Morris should be and why?

Sorry, my mistake. Couldn't remember him finishing 5th (possibly because it was a forfeit) and when I pulled it up I must have pulled up the 2021 state results. Wasn't really questioning where he should be ranked, but was confused about the process because of the aforementioned mistake. Just trying to keep you under control ;) . Keep up the good work. Oh, by the way would it be possible to put the wrestlers up to date current record with their high school record in parentheses and their grade in school in the rankings (just kidding).

Have Kehler and Brothers wrestled each other this year?

Has a three timer ever not won their fourth their senior year?

Barring an upset, they should be meeting this Saturday morning in the semis at the OVACs.
