The AAA 160 and 170 pound weight classes seemed to be stacked this year. I've seen on the results page that guys like Lambiotte from South and Johnson from PHS have been bumping back and fourth from both classes. It also shows that Jones from GWHS has been at 160. Impressed with guys like Johnson from HHS and Morgan twins from RHS.. Any thoughts?

In my opinion, jones is over rated. Solid wrestler, but just doesn't have what it takes to seal the deal. Johnson from Phs looks good. He should win at either 160 or 170. The Morgan brothers are both pretty decent, but I don't see them contending for a title.

jones-gw would have to be considered tops at 160. johnson-hunt should be 2nd best. morgan-rip dunbar-south and long-hurr will battle for 3rd 4th and 5th and casto-sa or young (18-3) will probable be 6th. 170 will be a dog fight between lambiotte-south and johnson-phs. i see frisco-uni finishing 3rd. contending for 4th thru 6th should be dech-hurr, mogan-rip, minihan-hunt and hale (15-3)-win.

Regarding GW's Jones, he came out of no where and placed second as a sophomore. He was runner up to Jake Martin (3x champ/4x finalist). He had a hard deal to seal last season.

As for Jones and the rest of the ones mentioned, I have yet to see them in person this season. Based on the results, 160 appears to be one of the toughest in AAA.

I recall Jones from GW losing to a tough Kyle Rogers from Lewis Co. his sophomore year and like said above Jake Martin. I think Jones is tops at 60. But that is if lambiotte- south and Johnson-pburg stay at 170. All 3 are tough and in the champion talk.

Jones overrated? You've got to be kidding. There are some great wrestlers in 160 AAA, but Jones has to be the favorite. Two time finalist. Finished second to a couple of pretty darn good wrestlers. Then he All Americaned at NHSCA.

And Ivan Vaughn at Cabell Midland 170 looked to be worthy of placing this year also.
