How WV Wrestlers fared at NCAA's

133 (24) Wyatt Henson (OU) 19-14 (Wrestled at University before transferring to Waynesburg)
Went 1-2

157 (5) Josh Humphreys (LEH) 21-1
Went 5-1, finished 3rd

165 (14) Peyton Hall (WVU) 24-6
Went 1-2

184 (33) Anthony Carman (WVU) 18-15
Went 1-2

197 (17) Braxton Amos (WIS) 18-9
Went 0-1


How a few other area wrestlers fared:

149 (29) Dylan Chappell (BUCK) 28-12 (Wrested in the Brooke Tournament)
Went 0-2

165 (21) Gerrit Nijenhuis (OU) 16-9 (Wrestled at Canon-Mac)
Went 0-2

174 (28) Luca Augustine (PITT) 15-11 (Wrestled at Waynesburg & in Winners Choice)
Went 0-2

The buzz is to recruit PA wrestlers!!!! I find it ironic that the wrestler that did the best on this list was recruited from WV to a PA school. WVU (Henson era) didn't give Humphreys a look.

I don't think that's an accurate statement.

Regardless, Josh is a fantastic wrestler and a great person (feels silly to call him a kid) and comes from a great family. I personally believe that if he gets that escape and goes to OT....WV (not WVU) has it's first national champion.
