For whatever reason WVYWA has been the organization that appoints the WV USA Wrestling State Chair. This is backwards and hurting those kids that may be planning for FS/GR season. There was no mention of anything freestyle at WVYWA Championship, nothing on their site or on socials, etc.

I have heard the current admin doesn't want to deal with freestyle, and it shows. If that's the case, step aside and let some that do.

Promoting WV USA Wrestling as a brand and getting kids into freestyle should be a priority. Everyone is aware and follows folkstyle but getting all kids interested in freestyle and greco will help them grow as wrestlers while getting kids on the mat in folkstyle off-season.

There are plans in effect without any State Chair leadership for Junior, 16u, 14u teams and Fargo.

It's time that WV USA Wrestling be separated from WVYWA so we can grow the sport.
