My name is Corey McComas. I am the Head Coach of the youth travel team for Competative Edge. I am also the Coordinator of the WVYWA National team. I will be holding a leg clinic that starts approx. 15 minutes after the Odd Year States concludes on Saturday at the South Charleston Community Center (aka rec. center). Probably start around 3 to 3:30pm. I suggest be there around 2:30. Cost is $20. I will collect the fee right before it starts. 2 hours+ of instruction. If you have never did a leg ride, this a great time to get an introduction. If you are advanced, this is a great time to perfect your technique. You do not have to have been a participant in the tournament to participate, but it is highly encouraged. Bring you own water. This will be fast paced & a lot of technique will be thrown at you so be ready to listen & work. Middle Schoolers can participate also.
Items that will be taught:
How to get them in
How to ride with them
How to break them flat & score
Shallow leg series (Great for those who can't get a deep leg in, such as big guys or those who don't have long legs)
Deep single leg series (Helicopter, split, guiliotene, reverse crossface)
Both legs in series (crab ride, power half, hammerlock, both crossfaces)
How to defend/get out of a leg ride (lots of different ways to get out of both legs & single leg)
Will mix some live wrestling with leg (of course) throughout
Any questions or comments, call/text me at 304-951-8650
Thanks,
Leg throwing/riding/scoring clinic
