Awards- Individual medals for top 4. Custom award for 1st place in each weight class.
Entry Deadline- Please have your entries in before Dec 25th. We will accept wresters day of the tournament if possible.
Format- Double elimination or round robin depending on the number of entries within each weight class. We will medal the top 4 wrestlers and the champion will receive an additional custom award. This is a VHSL Sanctioned Women’s only tournament and is established to give women’s wrestling in our area a chance to grow. Each team will be allowed unlimited entries per team for each weight class but brackets will be capped at 16 if needed. Please get your entries in early to secure your spot in the correct weight class.
Entry Fee- $25 per entry before Dec 25th. Team with 5 or more will be $20 per wrestler. After Dec 25th entry will be $30. Please make any checks payable to Chilhowie High School Wrestling. Payments will be accepted at the tournament but all payments must be made in full before the tournament begins.
Weigh-ins- All wrestlers will be weighed in using VHSL women’s weight classes of 100, 106, 112, 118, 127, 136, 146, 156, 170, 185, 225. Wrestlers are encouraged to move to populated weight classes to encourage competition. Girls do not need the OPM weigh-in sheets. The weigh-in does not count towards the individual wrestlers allowable weigh-ins.
Schedule- Weigh-ins 8-9 am

Wrestling starts at 10am and goes until conclusion. We will have a break from 12:30-1 pm. During this break we will have a special guest speak to all the women wrestlers. Other breaks may be introduced in between rounds to accommodate the 45 min rule.

Concessions- A wide variety of food will be available at our concession stand. Breakfast will be served as long as it lasts. Coaches with 5 or more will receive food vouchers for the concession stand.
We will run two mats for this tournament. There will also be a K-8 kid’s tournament in our middle school gym running on another couple mats. If you or your clubs are interested, please email me and I will send you information.
