The Parkersburg News called it the most lopsided victory recorded by either
school in the history of the 30-year series between Parkersburg South and
Parkersburg. South won the match 65-6, but in doing so had to see defending
state champion Jason Johnson go down to defeat via pin by Zach Leverett for
the Big Reds' only victory of the night. The Big Reds are still forfeiting
several weight classes and are wrestling without their own defending state
champ, Jay Golden (112).
