NO. 9 HILLTOPPERS STEAMROLL OHIO VALLEY

January 20, 2013

WHEELING, W.Va. – Jordan Nolan's second-period fall and a major decision from Matt Littleton highlighted the No. 9-ranked West Liberty University wrestling team's 34-14 romp past Ohio Valley Saturday morning at WesBanco Arena.

With injuries leaving the teams short-handed in four weight classes, Coach Brian Davis's Hilltoppers (3-1) opened the match with an 18-6 lead and were never seriously threatened.

Nolan posted the day's only pin when he stopped Kobina Henriques of the Fighting Scots (1-5) at 3:03 of their 174-pound match and Littleton followed up with a 14-3 major decision against Nico Niday in the 184-pound match.

Cole Nace (133) and Art Hobley (157) also picked up decision wins for West Liberty.

The Hilltoppers will be back on the ASRC mats Tuesday night when they host Seton Hill in a 7 p.m. match.
