WVU HEADS WEST FOR SUN DEVIL DUALS

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (January 2, 2003) * The West Virginia University wrestling team travels to Tempe, Ariz., to compete in Sun Devil Wrestling Duals hosted by Arizona State on Jan. 4, at Wells Fargo Arena.

The No. 12 ranked Mountaineers make their first trip to the Arizona State Sun Devil Duals. This is only the fifth time ASU has hosted a dual event such as this.

WVU will face Stanford, No. 2 ranked Iowa State and No. 8 Missouri in dual meet competition. This year's field also includes American, Cal Poly, Embry?Riddle and host Arizona State.

The times and matches have been set for the 2004 Sun Devil Wrestling Duals:

Embry-Riddle vs. Stanford

4 p.m. Session
Arizona State vs. Iowa State

West Virginia opens up the home dual action with a contest against Big Ten power Penn State on Jan. 10, at 6 p.m.
