Mylan Supports Training Center

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Mylan Laboratories Inc. has agreed to support West Virginia University in hosting the Sunkist Kids National Training Program for USA Wrestling, athletic director Ed Pastilong announced today.

“Mylan’s support for WVU and USA Wrestling is a continuation of Mylan’s long held tradition of sponsoring academic and athletic excellence in our community,” says Robert J. Coury, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Mylan Laboratories Inc.

“Mylan and the Olympic wrestlers moving to Morgantown are committed to being the best in the world,” says Pastilong. “With Mylan’s support this program now becomes a reality.”

Mylan has agreed to provide job opportunities for Olympic hopefuls during their stay in Morgantown. The efforts of Mylan allows the athletes to focus on training while developing their careers and providing financial support.

“Creating a quality Olympic training center is essential for the success of wrestling in the United States,” says Art Martori, Founder and Executive Director of the Sunkist Kids. “We like the idea of the U.S . wrestlers having the chance to train with one of the world’s best freestyle coaches in Zeke Jones. With the support from Mylan Laboratories, our athletes now have the resources to bring home several medals.”

The Sunkist Kids are currently in their recruitment phase in hopes of identifying Olympic hopefuls for the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece.
