WVU WRESTLER RETURNS FOR SIXTH SEASON

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (July 17, 2000) West Virginia University senior wrestler Martius Harding has been granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA after having two injury-riddled seasons during his career.

Harding, a native of Baltimore, Md., posted a 3-6 record last year at 197-pounds and has a career mark of 50-28. He transferred to WVU from Virginia last summer.

"Martius is very excited about coming back and pursuing his goal of winning a national championship," WVU coach Craig Turnbull said. "From a coaching perspective last year, we believe he needed just one more season to turn his dream into a reality. We're very excited for Martius. Our compliance office did a great job."
