WVU Tech At Casperson Classic

BUENA VISTA, Virginia Junior Jephte Jeanpaul finished second at 157 to lead WVU Tech wrestling at the Casperson Classic hosted by Southern Virginia University Saturday. The Golden Bears finished with 44 team points from five Golden Bears.

Jeanpaul scored two falls in the Classic, the first being in round one (1:07) and the second in the quarterfinal (7:00).

Freshman Justice Horn took fifth place at 285 and earned three falls on Saturday. Horn's falls came at 2:33, 1:00 and 7:00. Also competing for Tech included freshman Louis Bernard (157), junior Corey Palmer (157) and senior Jon Boarman (285). Palmer posted falls at 1:42 and 7:00 in his effort at 157.

The Golden Bears return to action November 19 when they travel to Roanoke, Virginia for the Estes Environmental Star City Open.
