BUENA VISTA, Virginia -- WVU Tech wrestling finished fourth out of eight teams Saturday during the Jim Crytzer Invitational hosted by Washington and Lee University in Buena Vista. The Golden Bears were led by senior Tristan Bean who picked up 15 team points after a second place finish at 133 lbs.

Bean finished the day 3-1 including a fall (1:37) over Steven Muller of Ferrum College and two decisions (10-7 and 6-2). The Trenton, Ohio native fell in the title round to Ferrum's Levi Englman by fall (3:00).

At 149 lbs., sophomore Devin Wilhelm grappled his way to a fourth place finish after a 3-2 showing during the invitational. Wilhelm scored a fall (1:49) over William Merritt of Averett College.

Freshman Tanner Harris earned 11 team points for the Gold and Blue after placing fifth at 141 lbs. Harris was 4-2 including a fall (2:33) over Averett's David Shelton.

Fellow freshman Cameron Crislip also placed Saturday, picking up a sixth place showing at 165 lbs. after going 3-3. Crislip recorded a technical fall against Efrain DeLeon (Gettysburg College).

Also finishing sixth at his weight class, 141 lbs, was sophomore Logan Robertson. Robertson was 2-3 on the day and marked a technical fall over Shelton (Averett).

The Golden Bears will return to the mat Thursday, January 10 when they travel to Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina for an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) dual.
